Huskies can usually be very vocal dogs. Not all huskies are though. There is a man at my dog park who has 4 huskies and they are each very different. One on them is very whiny and all he does is "yell" at you when you are not watching him or you aren't petting him. The girl of the group is very calm and is the only one my dog gets along with. She is very good with puppies, but there is one bad thing about her. She loves to drag her butt across the ground and get it dirty. Nobody knows why she does this but she does it every day without fail. The other male and tiniest of the group is very rough. He likes to bark and growl at other dogs and loves to chase all the other dogs and then tackle them to the ground. He's a bit too aggressive for my taste. Last but not least you have the leader of the pack. He is the biggest and the loudest of the group. He usually stays quite unless a new dog is coming into the fenced area. If he growls at a dog then they will all gang up on the one dog. He doesn't care for my Dante too much since he is so tiny to him and so he usually tackles him down so we have to put Dante in the small dog area, but that will only work for so long.
Each husky has their own personality like all dogs and I hope to one day own one of these beautiful dogs.
Huskies are great. My brother's girlfriend has a mix that is half husky and half wolf and she doesn't even bark... I have literally only heard her howl. Interesting blog post though, I'm a huge husky fan!
