Cats:Andrew, Bo, Kit Kat, Sensei, and Simba

Cats are a very common house pet and there are things that cats have in common, but like people they have their own personalities. Cats are very independent and don't always want your attention. Some cats would rather you leave them alone and others will follow you around.

Andrew, my cat would rather you just leave him alone to lay in his box. He will however come out and love on you if you go to the kitchen where his treats are. It is very rare that he will socialize unless it's for treats but it does occasionally happen.

Next is Bo, he is my boyfriend's newest cat. He is still a kitten so he is very playful and loves to attack your toes! At night he will sleep either on your feet or in between you and the other person in the bed. He rarely stays still unless he is sleeping.

Kit Kat is a very loving cat. She follows you around and meows at you until you pet her. She loves to be close and if she isn't following someone then she is on the dollhouse sleeping.

Sensei is a wild one. She is always running around doing something weird. She likes to stick her head in places it doesn't belong, literally. She always gets things stuck on her head, bowls, boxes, and anything she can stick her head in. She's not one for being pet but does like attention on rare occasion.

Simba is the calm and serene one. He looks so wise and is always laying somewhere. He does like attention whenever he can get it, but he doesn't follow you to get attention or love from you. He is very independent and loves to be outdoors.

Cats are amazing animals and they are loving but not too loving.

Cissy

This week I am writing about a black lab. I had a black lab once and she was the best dog anyone could ever ask for. Her name was Cissy.

Black labs are the sweetest dogs. They are loving, playful, and kind. They are wonderful with kids. They are great with people unless they feel there is a threat, which is very rare. Like any dog if a danger is present they will protect you no matter what. They are the most loyal dog.

My black lab was a quiet one. She rarely barked or whined and was always a very calm dog. She would always sleep in my bed with me, especially when there was a storm. She hated storms! In the picture below you will see her on a couch. She was spoiled and would stare you down until you would make room for her.

I would recommend a lab to anyone. They are the best dog around and you can never get a dog quite like a lab.

Tippy

Today I will be talking about fish. I had fish for a year and they are actually quite difficult at first, or at least mine were. I received fish as a Valentine's present and a week after  I got them they all died. I was heartbroken. We couldn't figure out what was wrong. We still haven't discovered what it was, but after awhile we were able to keep them alive for months at a time.

We still have one surviving fish named Tippy, he was given to my daughter as a birthday present. He loves his new home and will only eat a certain type of tropical flake. If you try to feed him anything else he just won't eat it. He also likes to swim under the filter over and over again. He can do this for hours!

Fish are hard at first until you learn what to do to clean the tank, what chemicals you can and can't use in the water, the food they will eat, and how often you have to clean the tank. Once you figure that out fish are low maintenance pets and are quite entertaining.

Princess

My name is Vickie Smith and for my blog I will be writing about a different animal every week. I am a huge animal lover and always have been. I love all animals (even opossums).

This week I will be writing about an animal that is very special to me, a hamster. I have a hamster named Princess and just got her a couple of weeks ago. Hamsters are nocturnal animals and she loves to be running around her cage every night.

My hamster is very outgoing. She loves to be in her ball and if she could she would stay in it for hours. She seems to think that if she is in her ball that she in invincible. She has no fear when she is in her ball. She plows right into my cat and will chase him around when she is in her ball. The poor cat is terrified of her. Yet when she's not in her ball she is a skittish little thing and will bite if you scare her.

Hamsters are unique animals and each have their own personalities. My little hamster is very funny, outgoing, and also shy. She's definitely a character, but I wouldn't have it any other way!
